The Manipur Education Department has begun the Teachers’ Induction Training under School Faghathansi’s STAR Education program today. Over the next 10 days, teachers and headmasters from 152 schools will undergo intensive training at Kamakhya Pemton, Hiyangthang, from January 30 to February 9, 2024.
The Zonal Education Officers of Imphal East, Imphal West, Kamjong, Bishnupur, Thoubal interacted with the teachers during the first day of training.The Zonal Education Officers emphasized the importance of continuous professional development and encouraged educators to implement STAR Education in their respective schools. The ZEOs also expressed optimism about the positive impact the Teachers’ Induction Training will have on the headmasters and teachers and provided words of encouragement to them.
The STAR Education program, a crucial component of the CM’s School Fagathansi Mission, emphasizes refining pedagogical skills and incorporates the latest tools and methodologies. The program focuses on effective classroom management, establishing disciplined and positive learning environments. The 80-hour, in-person STAR Teacher Induction Training covers three thematic aspects: Programme Foundations, School Management and Operations, and Instructional Leadership.
